Top racing, glorious sunshine, fantastic socials and pasties! The best way to spend your bank holiday weekend.

Anticipation is building ahead of this year's annual Firefly Southwestern Championships, hosted for the 47th consecutive year by Restronguet Sailing Club. This classic race weekend offers a unique mix of close racing, fantastic scenery and the legendary social scene synonymous with the Firefly class.

This year's event will take place over the late May bank holiday weekend, 26th-28th of May, with three days of close racing in the gorgeous setting of Carrick roads alongside a relaxed social program, all topped off with the fabled Monday afternoon cream tea.

Drawing an annual turnout of over 40 boats, competitors are guaranteed tight, well managed racing in the capable hands of Restronguet Sailing Club's experienced race team. There's also plenty nearby for the non-sailors to enjoy with the beautiful surroundings of West Cornwall on your doorstep as well as sunny Falmouth just a few minutes down the road.
