Miami Sailing Week (MSW) was established in 2010 with the goal in mind of creating a fun filled week of activities related to the sport of sailing that we all love very much. Through the years we accomplished many of our goals and the event became a capstone of Miami's regatta season. Along the way we worked with many different one-design classes, the waterfront community, talented artists and benefitted several charitable organizations. Our vision, at STUDIOMILANO, is to continue the positive trend and further expand the event in 2019 with a fully functional Regatta Park venue.

For this year activities begin on Tuesday March 6th with National One-Design Sailing Academy. The Flying Tiger Clinic hosted by North U with Bill Gladstone, is a two-day clinic that teaches to be a more complete and educated racer. The program continues with hands on regatta experience with the clinic coaches allowing participants to put the new skills to the test. Throughout the week Coconut Grove Sailing Club (CGSC) will host their regular youth programs, and the youngsters will also be able to mingle with MSW experienced sailors and receive performance awards for this special week of sailing.

On Thursday March 8th through Saturday March 10th the Melges 24, the A-Cat and Flying Tiger Classes will compete on a circle managed by CGSC that extends from Vizcaya Museum to Key Biscayne. The super sexy M32 catamarans will be racing on a second circle from Friday to Sunday; this event is the third leg of their U.S. Winter Series.

Looking forward to warm weather and great sailing conditions, 200 sailors from different Countries will compete in a friendly and relaxed Coconut Grove atmosphere. Miami Sailing Week is in fact not only for the competition, but also for the welcoming hospitality and genuine camaraderie. Similar to year's past, the hospitality for Miami Sailing Week will be set up at both Regatta Park and CGSC where sailors will enjoy the one and only trademarked Dark 'n Stormy® cocktail, exquisite food and energizing music.

Miami Sailing Week welcomes new sponsors for this event including Goslings Rum, Santa Margerita Wines, Concrete Beach beer, Fiuggi waters, Coconut Grove Store, RMK Merrill-Stevens and Racing Spirit. In addition MSW welcomes back North Sails, CocoWalk, Coco BID, Matilde Vicenzi, Yachting Times, Ocean Navigator and Nautical Channel.
