As we move into 2018 anticipation for the Supernova Nationals is starting to build. The Nationals are taking place at Plas Heli (Pwllheli) on 6 to 8 July.
The Supernova Nationals has attracted 100+ boats for the last two years, and with over 70 boats already registered the committee is hopeful to pass the 100 mark once again.
Entry fees are heavily discounted thanks to sponsorship from Hartley Boats, but for most sailors this discount ends on 31 January. With under a month to go to take advantage of the great offers now is the time to act and sign on.
The event promises to have something for everyone, regardless of your sailing experience. We asked Frank McMullen (81st in 2017 nationals) what he loves about the event and he said:
"What can you not love about the Supernova Nationals... good venues, great racing, fantastic social evenings and best of all, meeting old friends and making new ones."
The standard entry fee is £90, which includes 3 days sailing, 2 evening socials (with food) and even a free t-shirt!
Discounts are up to £45 per person, and if you are new to the class the Association will waive your membership fee. Full details can be found on the Association website.
The Association has received a number of requests from top sailors in other classes to borrow a boat - so if you own a Supernova and are willing to lend your boat out then please contact the Association.
We hope to see you in Plas Heli.
