This weekend the 16th and 17th July 2016 sees a welcome return to Lee on the Solent for the 2000 class. Last year the class missed its annual open meeting because the club had been busy improving its shore side facilities. New changing rooms, hot showers and a club room now await the 2000 sailors.

With a good sailing weather forecast what more can the fleet want. Good sailing! Well that goes without saying at this popular seaside resort.

Following a second place at Snettersham the Barnhams have closed the gap on the Burridges to just 2 points. The series is wide open with the Cockerills just another 2 points behind the Barnhams.

The rest of us will have our own friendly battles to win and then rerun at the bar after sailing. Unless of course you can shake up the fleet by winning? Why not, everyone has to start somewhere.

This sea side venue will be a good chance for the fleet to gain some valuable sea sailing before the Rooster 2000 National Championships at Castle Cove next month. Registration is from 09:00 to 12:00 on Saturday which gives plenty of time for the more distant sailors to get to the club. The £30 entry fee will provide a fantastic weekend of sailing at this family club. What are you waiting for?
