Even more dates added to RORC/RYA Winter Seminars

by Jenny Howells, RORC Rating Office 18 Feb 2016 15:41 GMT 18 February 2016

Following on from the great success we are currently enjoying holding a series of regional seminars entitled "bringing more people to the sport", we have now added even more dates and venues including Poole and Hamble.

The seminars are presented by James Dadd (RORC Rating Office Director) and a representative from the RYA Technical Department.

Subjects for discussion include:

  • getting more people out racing
  • race planning
  • IRC/local handicap/NHC
  • Single Event Ratings
  • misconceptions about IRC (dispelling those bar talk rumours!)
  • any other points of interest relevant to cruiser racing

Everyone is invited whether you race under IRC or not, including those who currently race NHC or other local handicap, and anyone else who is interested in the future of club racing - please tell your friends!

Dates:

  • Feb 23rd - Cardiff Bay YC
  • March 8th - Sussex YC, Brighton
  • March 9th - Royal Temple YC, Ramsgate
  • March 10th - Little Ship Club, London
  • March 15th - Royal Harwich YC
  • March 23rd - Parkstone YC, Poole
  • March 29th - Royal Southern YC, Hamble

See the feedback we have received and full details of the seminars on our website.

As well as James Dadd, other Technical Team members are expecting to be at the Poole and Hamble seminars. We look forward to meeting you!
