5-6 September 2015
After a superb event at Oxford SC last time out (sunshine, great breeze, great racing), it's all go for the Lightning 368s this coming weekend (5th & 6th September) as we decamp to Northampton SC for the 2015 National Championship.
Always a brilliant event and a fantastic weekend, we're looking forward to the usual excellent organization and hospitality at Northampton, with the usual pre-event gathering on Friday for those able to make it for some relaxing drinks and general banter.
This year, however, please take note that - much like a Gremlin - Lee Bratley should not be fed Jaegermeister at any point.
Six races are scheduled over the two days - four on Saturday and two on Sunday - with all of this years top helms set to be present.
Following his excellent win at Oxford, Clive Evans is the current man in form and set to challenge the likes of Paul White, Robbie Claridge, Penny Yarwood, Caroline Key and Simon Hopkins in the overall battle for top honours.
This years surprise package, Jason Gallagher, could also upset the apple-cart. Jason has stealthily crept up the overall Grand Prix series with a set of quietly excellent results to lie in second place overall in the series.
All Lightning368 Class Association members are able to take part in the event, with racing commencing at around midday on Saturday.
Anyone interested in checking out the class is more than welcome to come along and have a chat and a drink at some point during the weekend - just bear in mind that we're highly trained athletes and are likely to be fully 'in the zone'...
We look forward to seeing you all and here's to a weekend of brilliant company and good racing for everyone.
