Patagonia crowned champion
Today races were suspended due to lack of wind and the CNO Anniversary Race, 6th date of the 2013-2014 VTR Oceánico Championship. The Argentinean crew achieved top position in the event which was held at the Cofradía Náutica del Pacífico (Algarrobo, Chile).
Today races were scheduled at midday, but unfortunately the wind didn't appear in Algarrobo and, near 2 pm, racing was suspended by the Race Committee.
The Championship concluded with 6 races and Norberto Álvarez Vitale's Patagonia, skippered by Gabriel Marino, achieved the victory in the C.N.O. Anniversary Race with 19 points. Jorge Araneda's Santander concludes in second place Overall with 21 points and Per Von Appen's Entel ends third position Overall with 22 points.
The next date for the Soto 40 fleet in Chilean waters will be the "Almirante Pedro Arrieta" Trophy that will be held at the Club de Yates Higuerillas (Concón) on April 12th and 13th.
