Jon Emmett Laser coaching at Chanonry Sailing Club this weekend

by Ben Yeats 18 Dec 2013 07:11 GMT 21-22 December 2013

Olympic winning coach Jon Emmett swaps the heat of Oman for the chillier waters of the Highlands of Scotland this coming weekend.

Following his recent success at the World Masters Championships in Oman, Jon will be taking Lasers sailors through their paces at the Chanonry Sailing Club. The weekend is being organised by Highland and Moray Sailing and Jon will be supported by RYA Scotland coach Paul Bartlett.

Sailors taking part include a mixture of youth and experience and some of our best local sailors will also have the chance to train alongside Ian Renilson in his Laser (normally seen in a Musto Skiff, Ian is former Contender World Champion and winner of the prestigious Endeavour Trophy).

There are still a few places available for Jon Emmett's coaching weekend 21st and 22nd of December. Great excuse for avoiding the Christmas shopping! If interested please register at www.hmsailing.org.uk For details on club please visit www.chanonry.org.uk
