At today's round of Alton Water's Frostbite series, boats were coming back to shore at the end of the race covered in ice. The only way that we could de-rig some of the boats was to pour warm water over the knots in their lines. The sun was shining most of the time but the wind-chill was pretty extreme - mad weather indeed !

About an inch in west London at the mo.  Please, please can there be tonnes of snow tonight, I really don't want to go to work.  I mean if there's another inch its not as if the tubes/trains/buses could run, extreme weather and all.

At least 6" of snow and beauiful down by the river with huge amounts of snow in the trees.

No public transport in my area.  Finally got in contact with work, who told me not to bother coming in as they were closing early anyway.  Oh well, back to playing in the snow, just avoiding the yellow snow!
