Hi all, am currently looking for some cheap anchor warp for some buoys and I only know of Nylon rope that won't float (ie any extra line gathering at the surface) and don't know of any cheaper alternatives. Anyone have any suggestions?

First measure the lenght of line you will need for the depth that you will be working in - and add about 10-15%.  Now attach a chain or similar weight to the one end and your bouy to the other.  Attach a weight to the line at about 10ft below the surface - this will not only keep your bouy pointing skywards, but will also keep any slack line below the surface.

If all else fails and it still floats, tie a loop in it and add another (small) weight to ensure it does not
