What sailiing DVD's would you recommend your club to buy?

Your "audience" is Junior sailors aged from 8-18. Abilities from Novice Oppie sailor to Zone squad standard. We're looking to give them something to watch on social evenings and / or "no sail" training days.

They're looking for entertainment but also education - so the range of DVD's should reflect both.

They sail Optimists, Toppers, Lasers - so good to feature these boats if possible.

Educational DVD's could be delivered with the aid of a speaker / coach - or just "sit & watch".

So - if you could suggest half a dozen DVD's for your Committee to purchase - what would they be?

Yep...I second the Shirley Robinson RYA DVDs - 'Start Sailing' and also 'Better Sailing'.  I also thought the Go-Sail Book and DVD to be enjoyable too (ISBN 9780756619459)

My 9 year old daughter thought they were both watchable.

Higher and Faster: Startlines (Laser starts) is meant to be good
Higher and Faster (skiff coaching) but i guess not considering oppys lasers and toppers
All the Awesome Aussie Skiff DVDs are good entertainment

Generally any 18ft skiff DVD is pretty funny

Yup, just ordered a copy for a 700ist. Easy pressie and might soften him up so I can have a go on his boat - can't get much worse now he's trashed the mainsail and the kite

Smack Down under is very good, bit more realistic view of 18ft skiffs... I.E the actual bits of races not just a skiff getting nailed to a ferry...
