On the weekend of 21–22 April, Datchet Water Sailing Club will be organising 'Get On The Water' open days aimed at promoting sailing. All visitors desiring to try sailing or looking for a friendly sailing club close to London are welcome.

Visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy one of the finest inland sailing venues of the country with lots activities for the whole family:
- Try dinghies and catamarans
- Buy a boat - new & used
- Refreshments
- Competitions
- Powerboat rides
- Plenty to do on & off the water including children activities

All you need to bring are old trainers and a towel. There is no entry fee and boat tests start a just £2, so do not miss this opportunity for a day out of fantastic value!

Datchet Water Sailing Club is set on a large inland reservoir providing a complete package for every type of sailor. The 'water' is 475 acres or about 1km in diameter - making it one of the largest inland areas in the Southern England. With good wind exposure and launching facilities, it provides year round sailing for all boat classes and is ideal for hosting sailing events of all levels from junior, club through to large international events.

The club has modern facilities, including a vast lounge with fantastic views on the water and on-site chandlery and sailing school. Located near junction 5 of the M4, it is within easy reach of London and the ideal place for anything from a relaxing sailing afternoon to club racing.
