Has anyone else noticed that since the Met Office amended the look of their 7 day forecast a week or so ago, the Beaufort numbers are up to two strengths out, but generally one too many?

Thus, depending upon which units you select in Settings, my local forecast for Thursday is suggesting 4 knots or F.3, or later, 7 knots or F.4!

I e-mailed them about this, and they initially denied there was any error, then when I persisted and sent screenshots, they said it was 'rounding errors' - some rounding errors!

Other than that, you now have to click to see any detail (like wind speed) every time you visit the site, and in order to see the list of recent places you viewed forecasts for; previously, those views became defaults after you'd selected them once, until you deselected them.

In short then, they've used our money to make the page worse. Certainly, I can see no improvements.

So anyway, ignore the Beaufort forecast for now. Apparently they work in mph, but the knots forecasts seem OK too.
