Is it true that the 5 Foiling Phantoms that raced at Carnac this year, insisted on their own race and would not race against the 4 Nacra 20FCS? If so, what conclusion should we reach?

For a moment I had a vision of people fitting foils to Phantoms, just to wind up the handicap police - then the penny dropped - I'm praying you mean Flying Phantoms?

Can you imagine the splash a Phantom sailor would make falling in off a foiling version?

Well they probably wouldn't have to fall far! I can't see a Phantom plus typical crew getting very far out of the water.
