RIP Condolences to his family and friends, absolute tragic news for the sailing community

I had the privilege of sailing with Bart at uni in London. He was such a gentle guy for his size and never complained when curled up in the front of a lark. He took to crewing with great enthusiasm, and his smoothness and ability to read the wind allowed us to be very competitive despite our combined size. It was great to have a crew you learnt from, and I certainly was not surprised by his return to crewing later in his career.
We have lost an ambassador for our sport, and I pass my condolences to his family and friends.
