Did you try heat?
When all else had failed (and a good soaking in freeing oil), I managed to free some ss bolts in an alloy fitting by pouring a kettle of boiling water over the lot.

just cut the pin short and drill it out?
then use an easy out, the other option is to make a bearing puller and tap the centre of the pin |

Did I mention the serious plumber's blowtorch ?..nope didn't work,
as did the bearing puller. Drilling the stainless pin wasn't an option, as one slip and you would be through the relatively soft alloy stock. I didn't have the use of a bench-mounted pillar drill though!. hopefully Ovi's will do me deal on the the rudder assembly
