Can anyone refer me to useful information about sailing the coast of France to Bordeaux, safe ports/anchorages, interesting ports/anchorages etc ? Apart from the normal charts of course, any best pilots ? Thanks, Robert |

You'd probably do better asking on a more cruising-orientated forum.

The Raz is fun - as long as nothing goes wrong! Cameret is a good place to hold out if the weather is too bad for the Raz. Once around the corner and into the Bay of Biscay the weather always seems warmer. I thought Benodet and Concarneau were great places to stop off en route. Make sure you've looked at the Raz using Google Earth with Geographic Web turned on and then have a look at some of the photos - its an impressive place! |
