Depends on the wind strength Mike. I have alluded to wanting a go in a Finn but that may not be until Sunday by the looks of it and I need to swap something on saturday and I do like the Icon ever since you brought it to the beastie. You up for a Phantom ride?

Hi Maxi
I'm game .... possibly ... Can I bring a spare set of wings along if there is a bit of a blow ? Mike L. PS - And here is one of the more publically acceptable performances by 'Andy' - defintely in line with the anticipated 'Spirit of Broxbourne' well maybe .... www.youtube.com/watch?v=wAtTgQFVmVk&feature=relmfu And to balance things up and get back to er .... sailing http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gAWd-YZy5U4&feature=related Edited by blaze720 - 05 Oct 12 at 11:24pm |

As you know I had planned to request W/L or triangles with OOD discretion on which to use but, not wanting to be accused of favouring any particular class, I am thinking of leaving the club to decide on courses. I do, however, suggest the following guidelines: - Keep the courses simple so that the fleet can find its way. - Race duration 30-40 minutes (say up to 40 minutes max for slowest boat). - Minimum movement of marks/committee boat to facilitate fast turnaround for the b2b racing. - First 3 races each day B2B and a short break, say 20-30 minutes to allow for boat swapping at the shore or pontoons. Please comment!

I cant see anyone wanting to swap with me in the 2000 and i dont want to worry my crew with too much speed so can we either just jolly around for the swap races or go ashore and i go straight to the bar for beer while daughter gets changed .
As for the rest of it sounds fine by me looking forward to it be the first time i have left my own club for two years

Thanks for that! 2 issues have come out of this:
1) I think it's fair that those who don't want to or can't swap can still do the races (it is all for FUN anyway) - perhaps we should give those using their own boats for the swap races a 10% penalty? 2) Some may be happy to loan their boats for this race but retire to the bar to watch. That seems reasonable to me also, any thoughts?

Not sure about a webcam but we will produce some video footage and photographs. I will see if I can get a webcam setup also but don't hold your breath on that one.
