good to see that simmonds is on the pace as usual with his commentary (not!)... was it just me that noticed that scheidt's camera must have fallen off the back 1/2 way round the course, certainly wasn't there on the final downwind...
Wonder what the rule is on that - wonder if it got tagged on one of the P&S crosses... |

Nope I guess it got wiped out when they did the final gybe, was still on further back on the run... Not shown on the footage as they'd cut to someone waving the flag on the nothe.. |

TV didn't show any shots from the STAR stern cameras, but there were a few from the Finn, so maybe they were have a few other problems as well as falling off.

Telegraph has reported that only one or two boats in each fleet have "real" cameras onboard, the rest have dummy, same weight, casings.
They also report the cameras are £5,000 each so lets hope the real ones don't fall off.

Interesting report that, especially the last paragraph -
Race boats and coach boats going outside the competition area are regarded as ‘contaminated’ and have to be ‘cleaned’ by the military before they can re-enter the competition arena. This can take up to 24 hours which would have ruled Railey out of the first Finn race today, had he been found guilty.
Whats that about then? Edit to highlight the article quote

Over-crazed security concerns no doubt
