In my view the Optimum Time watches are far superior to the Casios, having used both in the last year. This is mainly due to the elasticated, hard to open strap on the Optimum that ensures it is very difficult to lose it over (doh) and also the simplicity of both the display and the functions on it.

I'd suppose you'd call them a gadget, but with modern ropes I wouldn't be without a set of splicing fids, always found in my rope bag..

Aquapacs (other brands are available) have to be there, all those open meetings with mowhere safe to keep your valuables, and even if you leave them locked in the car you need somewhere dry to keep the keys.

A gadget that polishes siverware would be good..........I dislike it so much that I now avoid winning if I can
The gadget I found most useful was the Casio Sea pathfinder watch. ....A cheap, reliable and easy to use countdown timer.
It won't break your heart if you lose it. Edited by GK.LaserII - 08 Dec 11 at 1:45pm |
