That's an incredibly difficult one to answer! You tend to get what you pay for..... Do you mean best value-for-money sailmaker? You could probably go to your local one-man-band sailmaker and get a sail made very cheaply - but would it perform? You could use very cheap dacron (but it wouldn't last more than a couple of outings). You need to be more specific about what you want from the sail and the sort of use you intend to put it to (cruising,club racing, opens etc.) |

IF you are not campaigning seriously....... A Second hand one. Talk with the top F-18 guys. They will normaly run with their sails for between a season to a few regattas and offer them for sale. Will usualy be one off or the latest cut. |

I agree with Stephen, it's the most cost effective way of getting a good sail 'cheaply' in any class that has a pro/semi-pro 'top-flight' contingent and is an open/development or formula class. It's less true of a OD manufacturer supply only class such as Hobie/Topper/RS etc. |

Boat ordered mate looking at putting cash down within a week. Expect boat in September for new season...... Very excited. Currently talking with sponnsors too.
