Do you think you could make some foils to go on a topper - drill them in, sand down the hull so it's more pointy and make a jib for it??! I think it sounds like a hilarious idea but I would like some imput!

It wouldn't work, toppers can't go fast enough to get lift of speed. And even if you could, you can't use spinnakers with foils. Nice thought though. |

Don't think the hull is rigid enough for a bowsprit either. If somebody had the moulds for the topper, could they make a carbon/epoxy version. That would be interesting! |

How about fitting a jet-ski motor to it ... give a few Cherub sailors a scare!

Topper's aren't that heavy... given large enough foils and enough breeze you could probably get one flying. Wouldn't happen very often though.
Support for the daggerboard is easy enough - fit it from underneath and give it a flange that rests on the hull skin. The rudder would be a bit more fun to arrange. |

Tom Gruitt, famous sailing photographer=tgruitt the jumping tiger It's a Jekyll and Hyde case. One with his photos, the other one with photo-editing (no worries, Tom, it's a funny idea anyway!) |
