I have a 420 which is about 30 years old.  There are mouldings on the hull that look as though they are specifically for a traveller bar, but I can't find any information anywhere about it.  Is there a particular make/model for a 420 or are they generic and you fit them where you can?  The boat was made by Honnor Marine, but the company no longer have records for 420s or anything built before 1997.

It would probably have been a Holt Allen X track cut to length, maybe even bent to fit the boat... Of course that's from the Holt range of twenty plus years ago... I don't know that I'd want to spend the sort of money that a traveller setup would cost on a Honnor Marine 420, but maybe if there's something being scrapped when your club have their next clearout of abandoned boats...

Had a quick look at the class rules and it would appear that a traveller bar is mandatory, but is used to support a bridle rather than a traveller. Based on the rules you could probably use an alloy tube of appropriate dimension.
