Hi
My daughter (13) has just started Topper racing and I am looking for an easy racing tactics book for her. Someone protested her at the weekend and she wasn't sure of her rights Any suggestions greatly appreciated. Regards Graham |

What about the RYA start racing book
Not one I have read but I would have thought this was as good as anywhere to begin.
And then there is the Topper book

It sounds to me like you want a rules book if she got protested, I reccommend the Bryan Willis one. Tactics books tend to cover which way to go up the beat, how to manage the fleet, how to get a good start, etc.

The RYA start racing book is a good starting point; it has the basics of everything, including the rules, so is a pretty good buy for a beginner.

Bryan Willis' book is good to have as a reference, even if it 's a bit daunting for beginners.
Well written and well illustrated.
trouble is you'll want a new one in 20 month's time....
