I thought I'd start a thread for the discussion of Landyachting.
It's something I tried ummm... 20 years ago and got into last year again. It's a fantastic sport where all ages and sexes can race on equal terms. With speeds exceeding 60 mph. Class 5 Class 3 Standart are the most regularly sailed classes. The Class 5 & Class 3 yachts being a box rule development classes and the Standart being one design. Interested in sailing one of these super fast craft? PM and I'll put you in touch with the people to make it happen. Edited by Jack Sparrow - 03 Mar 11 at 5:23pm |

Yes Royston has a club. Also there is a set up in Kent. Although not much of a club.

Send details to: http://www.bfslyc.org.uk/pages/fed_mailform.aspx and they will add your yacht to the for sale section in the newsletter. |

Thanks for the info. I've always fancied trying it down at Brean. The beach looks great for it

I believe there's some land yachting done at Camber Sands. Although a quick google didn't give much info.
