it's a bit bizarre, why Plymouth???

Possibly if/when the future "yoof sailing" circuit in AC45 happens, presumably as the AC teams themselves transition to AC72s. That seems more of a good intention than a concrete plan right now. I guess however somebody would still have to bankroll a team to a pretty serious extent.

There were rumblings of an alternative to TO immediately after KM pulled the plug but I didn't believe it at the time and the rumour seems to now have gone cold.

Found this video which gives an interesting insight and some good sailing footage of the AC45. Thought I'd share.....

Sail World is reporting that the prototype tacks really quick. I.e. It's only on both hulls for about a second, that's foiling Moth territory. It was out today in mid 20 knot breezes no problem!
Clap

Can't see there being a British team SKM took all the spotlight with Team Origin and the tight 3 and then dropped the whole thing. Also the way he cancelled the project on cost grounds would make life very difficult for any other British team to get backing.

I just can't see where a British team for one of these things will come from.

Plenty of decent sailors, but no team leader/backer
