These blips are nearly always to do with an anniversary or an international championship combining the nationals. For international championships I have to extract the number of UK boats.

Could also be something to do with the fact that since Hartleys started building the Wayfarer a couple or so years ago they have built somewhere in the region of 200 new boats... of which quite a few attended the nationals.

Despite what people have said about the Wayfarer, that is a very active class now and in fairness the Mk.4 is a very nice boat! (even if it is a little heavy, but that just goes against my Cherub grain!)
