Who actually makes the bare aluminium masts used on most of our boats? I might need to get hold of an 11m length. |

Superspars or Selden have most of the market sized up.
I know that Superspars have tube available as that is what was used for the racks on my boat. |

Och it's for a job in work, we're looking to make a kind of gallows affair to hang a target from while we shoot stuff at it.....I can say no more. |

I believe there is a company in Eastern Europe who extrude the tube for Selden, but I may be remembering that wrongly. Selden have to have a certain quantity made at a time.

I suspect that if you don't need a mast track and especially if you don't need marine level corrosion resistance there are going to be far cheaper sources for alloy tubing than sparmakers.. |

I believe the manufacturer is Alcan Extrusions, a massive company. You should be able to find a local metal stockist that will supply a small amount of suitable tube....or find an aluminium scaffold pole (they sometimes use them for handrails) max length is usually 21 foot or there abouts.

I was kind of hoping that there might just be an untouched 9m length left after the job was done . There are some other issues to take account of that need the structure to be stiff and light. I'm waiting for a quote from Atlantic spars in Brixham.
