God sorry I mentioned to AC - wont do it again !!!!
James, back to the interesting stuff....... Whilst the rest of us are killing time till the end of March (knitting, posting on AC forums (!), windsurfing (Yeah !)), would be really interesting to hear from you more typical settings / set up as you start to learn the boat. All of this is going to be very new for me personally but would be interested to know kicker / sheeting angle/ pointing or footing / centreboard etc. etc. Immediately following getting my boat (hopefully end of March) will be just before big local regatta and probably wont have had any time in the boat at all (probably rigging it for first time on morning of first race !). Hence any advice would help reduce the 'muppet factor'. Keep that advice coming. Chris |

Still think your the man for the job with all this info coming.I have an idea why dont you get some footage of you setting the boat up and sailing so everyone else can view your trail and error while learning. Good luck to you all with your 100s i hope the vareos will share some events with you in the future. |

Easy GRUMPF! That's a terrible lisp you have in bold type. Sorry they haven't been able to squeeze the toothpaste tube to fill out the moulds quickly enough. But the good news is your new dentures are on their way to you right now. That's a preventative measure. Just in case anyone takes a swing at your hamstead.

Keith, Have you got a firm date for your boat yet? Have asked JP, but no news so far Perhaps Nick could give us all some general rig and sailing set up advice, even with some piccies? When sailing the Finn, I found it great to have so much set-up information - made getting started dead easy. .... and removed the excuses!! Obviously it'll not be as easy on the 100 as we're the guninea pigs this time! |

End of March. I am expecting the initial rig setup to be pretty straight forward with only the ram and the caps to adjust in static mode. Then after time get a feel for how much rake is required dependant on wind. Cheers, Keith

Jimbo all this adjustment sounds bloody complexed fella! I know you like a bit of string and a few blocks, but Jesus! I'm not sure what a welsh/essex hybrid would would look like, but i'm guessing: |
