another good choice for Hunts. I am sure we could arrange a test sail at some point.

Graduate. Cheap as chips and embarrass many other classes in inland waters predominantly light winds. Will teach you tactics too. Defo some Grads at Hunts. |

There have been some grads at Hunts (and may well still be) but there is a burst of actiivty amongst the GPs at them moment, particularly with fathers and sons.

don't get a mirror unless you have ambitions to go through the squads,
there is no other reason to get one, unless you want a boat to sail row and motor! |

I think the reason to get a Mirror is that at the club where these guys are sailing they are quite a popular class. At the moment a fair few of them sail socially, and I have already been asked to run some Mirror race training for them next year.
I think thye could get a cheapie Mirror and have a lot of fun learning in it, before they go on to the next step. |

Your are partially correct. There is 1 Grad that sails occasionally through the summer (lack of crew I think is the reason) and another (from the same family) that 'visits' and sails. There maybe a few others in the boat park but they have not moved in years... |

Don't forget the 2 that are starting to race regularly now (ok I think one of them is a squad boat). Would be good to see some more Mirrors, if a fleet got going I would consider purchasing one to take my little 'un round in. |
