Rs 200, ideal weight 20+ stone, good racing circuit, not too demasnding, but still fast. Or you could try syms, loads of choice there: scorp, fireball etc.

RS800 - loverly boat but not your first asymmetric - you'd get blown off the water and its not cheap either. A 4000 might be the answer, you're a bit light, so it depends where you sail, they are cheap to buy but new sails cost a bomb - no on second thoughts you might not have enough weight to right it, and you'll be doing plenty of that. What about a Buz?

If it comes down to a choice between the 4000 and the 29er I would have to say the 29er. The loads are lighter and there is the youth circuit there if you want. To be honest though a 200 may suit the two of you better. The problem is the gap in your ages, it means if one of you wants to do the youth thing you will have to split in a couple of years when you hit 18. I'm on the B14 stand at the dinghy show all weekend, come and say hi.
