i was on my windsurf board once and i was flying and the rescue boat decided he wanted to play chicken with me well i missed him lol but i fell off iin his wake. as he turned the boat he dug the back end in and the  a big bow wave was created. im good at windsurfing on flat water but if i hit a bump i come straight off espesially at the speed i was going

I was once sailing my radial in about a force 5 close to the jetty and the boat began to roll and it came over on top of me, i tried 2 get over the top of the boat and on2 the daggerboard, missed and slid down the front of my boat on my belly only to gracefully dive head-first into the water, much to the amusement of the spectators on the jetty

I keep on thinking of really embarassing things ive done now! there are thousands! as u can probably guess, I have an aquired technique 4 embarassing myself!

about 2 years ago (in my topper days...)i got asked by coach to take a small boy out sailing cos its his first time and he wants him 2 be in good hands (ha!) i launched my boat with boy sitting on the bow and i was barely a few metres away from the shore when my outhaul broke and i capsised, proceeded 2 hit a moored boat, and end up trying 2 save kids life!
fortunately he thought it was loads of fun! lucky me :S

yeah sailing is a sport which has so many embarasing situations, i  think it is because so many funny things can happen or go wrong. unlike running for example which isnt really funny.

but does anyone else have the problem of getting the back of their buoyancy aid stuck on the boom in a tack, leading to a capsize (normally still attached to the boom once in the water)
Never, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.

Well in cadets that went one further because the poles were stored on the mast they would sometimes hang down and catch down the backs of peoples lifejackets and they would be stuck when capsizing, mostly this just lead to funny situations but resulted in a rules change.

Yeh that used to happen to me occaisionaly when i used to race lasers - usually in anything above a force 5 when u got a nice load of kicker on! Id recommend the rooster buoyancy aid as its got a very slim cut and doesnt catch often if at all!

Any one here ever done the classic roll tack too far?!
Any one in need of quality carbon fibre work (tillers etc) at decent prices!
