thats a nice pic there. never seen a finn in real life. they look quite 'big' though. and alex i sail an rs300. that should be ok in the straits. its not any shallower in p.d than in at plas menai is it? are you able to sail in most wind directions and strengths at P.D? thanks tom |

Tom, that would be fine for the straits, We have one sandbank that we normally race against when tacking up wind which isn’t really a problem only for those getting greedy to get out of the tide :-)Yes we sail in everything! I think we have only missed around 4 Wednesday night races this year due to the wind dying off. Not had any been cancelled for being too windy and there has been some howlers! But we’re all mad :-) the best wind is the SW coming down the straits, most directions are fine it just gets a bit shifty coming off the land. Alex |
