you can but the video of Silk 2 pitchpoling, sounds quite a good watch! http://www.boatbooks-aust.com.au/merchant.ihtml?id=3&ste p=2 i have found that Silk 2 is a B&H designed 41footer, she was caught in 50kts of wind in the Cowes Week Regatta in 1996. She took two waves over the bow in quick succession which caused her nose to dig in dramatically. One man fell of the stern and the bow man clung on whilst being pushed some 4 metres underwater. Silk 2 then fell onto her port side and retired from that days race but won the britannia cup the next day!

Silk 2 went on to vertical then gently slid sideways. I believe she sailed on to finish.
