Food and drink should always be extra - this is important for the juniors, teetotalers, vegetarians, sailors with young kids, others with low incomes, ot the misanthropic.
We charge 35€ for a 2 crew boat for 2 days sea racing (6 races) plus 10€ per person for a steak BBQ (sorry I can't convert that in the Imperail funny money you use on the island to the east). The Guiness is 3€50. Gordon |

Out of a weekend open meeting I expect food and some entertainment on the saturday night, the price i would expect to pay is around 30 - 40 quid but i have payed from 15 - 95 pounds, although the expensive one was over three days with a cheap bar and food and entertainment both nights.
Edit - This is a double hander by the way, and also i have just remembered it was 80 pounds before a certain date but i forgot so it went up Edited by MRJP BUZZ 585 |

There is always the usual complain about sailing being too expensive, but out of interest what are people generally paying for Open meetings? (full weekend or just a one day comp)
Does the cost differ between whether the boat is a single hander or a double hander? Do people think this should include food and an evening do? I'm interested in the spread of prices across the country and different type of clubs. Thanks in advance! |
