Sorry that video does not do it for me which is a shame as the boat does look good. Seems to be a handful there in what appears to be a very modest amount of wind....

ahh yes, that'd make sense. @rupert- yep, looks pretty well stacked out for not a lot of breeze!

im sure like any new design the rig isn't finalised yet so maybe (hopefully) with a bit of refinement it will improve.

I'm sure they would, but that looks an abomination on the water with the kite up.... and seems pretty unappealing in the video teaser upwind too.

Sailor looks pretty average to me which will not flatter the boat. Another dinghy designed (and being sailed) by leadminers

That looks like hard work. Personally i would of found some better footage of it being sailed flat.

I think that's very true Daryl- when most people spend ten grand or so on a toy like this, they want to know that they have someone else to play with, or indeed a park to play with it in. Some would even want to know that it will still be worth a dime in a year or two once the novelty factor's worn off and they rue the day they bought this rather than a Mach 2. Without an element of 'group purchase' behind it, it's going to struggle to get any kind of meaningful traction- especially in the face of such conservative buying patterns in the dinghy market. Of course it all comes down to what an individual's perceives success will be. If one person buys one, loves it and doesn't have a care in the world for what other people think or if there are folks to sail it again, then it's a success right? I would like to think so- I'm certainly in that place with my current favourite windsurf board- a bit of hybrid between disciplines, not universally liked and combined witha slight wacky marketing angle, but I like it, love it in fact, so sod what anyone else thinks. However if you bandy words around in your marketing spiel about 'the future being here now' or how the forerunner, the MX Ray, took the world by storm or some other such hyped up nonsense, well then your setting yourself for a bit of fail really. Although neither of us had commercial intent (which therefore forgives a multitude of failings!) we both have had a similar experience of over-promising on expectation, whilst under-delivering on functionality, wouldn't you say?
