Completely new to dinghy's? I would suggest you do some basic RYA courses to set you on your way.

Thanks. Yeah, I've spoke to the local club and am probably going to do a level 2 course sometime soon. Probably just need to get some experience of the differences between dinghies and yachts and I should be OK. My sail trim is not perfect but it is better than having no experience at all. The thing I am looking forward to about dinghies is having to be more aware of my trim as I would imagine it matters much more on a dinghy. Cheers. |

Yep you have got it in one Be prepared to get very wet for a totally different reason to why you get wet on a yacht. Have you also considered your clothing requirements? They are differnet from what you have been used to wearing on the yacht. |
