Hi Im looking for a Beneteau 27.7 as I need shallow draught and a bit of performance but im told that they are very expensive for the size and are a bit giddy.Does anyone have one that could give me some advise as Id like to get one with racing spec.Would spend a little over 30k.Thanks

There's one that sails at our club and it has to be said it doesn't do well as a rule. Nice boat to sail though - probably just needs a bit more grunt on it for windy days.

Have a look at a 2nd hand laser 28 (later built Redfox 29) Superior boat to the 27.7 if you ask me, and I believe a better IRC. Doesn't draw much. The bull 7000 (or 9000) could be a faster option on the used market with an assy' or the platu which is a bit quicker in light to medium and more of a purist racer's boat. Also the reflex 28 is being relaunched but I think it has a 7ft draught. Also used j92s or j80s worth a peek.
