Windguru is saying it's going to be proper windy on Thursday; Peaking on the gower (which I assume is the nearest Windguru point) at 31kts  http://www.windguru.com/int/index.php?sc=119

So bank goes any meaningfull practice on Thursday !

Friday looking much better at 18kts !

Bear in mind that windguru tends to be lighter than what you get on the day!

Entry list so far is on web site (go to results) and results will be updated daily for anybody interested.

www.mumblesyachtclub.co.uk

As and F16s will be scored separately and together as one fleet on elapsed time (no handicaps).

It was a great event, I'm still not sure what was better sailing or socialising?  I still believe Mumbles is the 'G' spot of Welsh Cat sailing even though the weather was suffering from PMT. But apart from the conditions I would like to thank all the competitors etc for taking the effort to participate and hopefully we will see you again soon.
If you were too lazy to check out the results Chris F narrowly beat Simon N in the A's and Dave T is the new F16 National Champ.

Mark forgot to mention a few "highlights".....

Some people went swimming (some twice).

Some people cannot count (now that really hurts when winning your first race at an F16 event )

But I think I can say that all people had a lot of fun and even tho we lost one day to silly winds and I broke the boat *(fixed soon).  It was a great event and well done to Mark for all the hard work and for Mumbles YC for hosting the event in some testing conditions.

Real shame the Welsh Cat event is the same weekend as the ECPR! (Mark I'll call you as they always announce the date for the following year at the end of the race prize giving) as I would have tried to do both.
