Walking the dog at HISC today, I came across a sorry looking bunch: it seems they are running an Olympic classes training week this week! Jees, it was effin freezing!! They must be mad! They ranged from a couple of pretty motivated looking 49er crews, to some shivvering Radial ladies, one of whom was complaining that she couldn't feel her hands on the beach. Never saw if they went out, I went home for a cup of tea, and put the kettle on. Mind you, it's our first race of the season next W/end, hope it warms up! |

You should try sitting in a RIB all day in that kind of weather, I have had ot do it about 4times so far this yr and I have been sucessfuly avoiding it!!! It started snowing on sat whilst I was on rescue |

Yes. I Have to agree with Knightmare. Sitting on ribs in the cold and wet is not a lot of fun. It makes sailing in the winter feel warm

It's never too cold, you just need more layers and less sanity.

What about windsurfing? We still go out? and due to my lack of money
still in my 5/3 summer wetsuit + a thermal rash vest! Was out at the
weekend, fortunately the snow was only in the shady areas no idea on
temp but I do know it was 'chucking filly'!!

And how long are you going to last if you had to wait for rescue in just a shorty - not sensible. |
