Some of you may know that West Riding Sailing Club had their clubhouse burnt down in an arson attack last year.  Whilst the club was fully insured because it was a wooden building the insurance wasn’t enough to rebuild the club in modern construction materials.

In order to raise funds for a new clubhouse we are holding a Prize Draw for a brand new RS200 which has been kindly donated by LDC, Northtech, F11 and Bradley.com.  The prize draw officially launches at the RYA Dinghy Show on 4^th March but you can get in early and buy tickets online at www.wrsc.org.uk.

Buy a ticket – build a club.  Please help us, it could have been your club.

We managed to raise £3000 at the show so thank you very much to everyone who came to see us (http://www.yachtsandyachting.com/news/?article=20620).  Many people asked if the RS200 on the stand was the actual prize but the actual boat is yet to be built so the number will be the very latest.

We are now asking for the help of sailing clubs all over the UK to donate £100 in return for £100 worth of tickets that they can then sell to recoup their donation.  Each RYA affiliated sailing club will have recieved a letter by now so please ask your sailing clubs to help.
