Sunday not so good, yes I won two races but that's because no one else turned up in my class, we're between our own Horning regatta and Barton regatta and I suspect people have used all their brownie points in getting permission to go to sail.
The third race I did have a competitor to play with. But got a big gust of wind right on the start line and broached into the start line outer mark. By the time I'd gone round the rest of the race was just playing catch up.

Oh our regatta, went remarkably well for Blue Moon.

Hope the link works, I haven't been on here for a long time, but basically I have now built myself a west Mersea Duck Punt, no daggerboard, no rudder, sails in 4" of water, great fun!

First time out for Wednesday night racing in years - previously my wife had been working away from home on Wednesdays which meant I was on duty but this year she is WFH so I am a free man. Forgot how much I loved it!!

After our stunning (not) performance in that race yesterday (checking if the Ringo parking App really does work on the start line and later 2x720s in zero wind, I think we will be starting next Sunday's race just after the British Moths finish their open on Saturday.....Actually scratch that as we won't be there, so we will bank it for another time.😂

Prior to the start we had trouble launching the boat, probably because we had inadvertently left the bailers open and because the aluminium trolley floats they were catching on the main support. As we came off the water the duty officer suggested that perhaps the boat was trying to tell us something before we set off..... I think he was right!
