So finally I've given in and conformed, you even get a certificate, like a logbook, telling you not to f**k about with it. First thing happens, I couldn't hide it down the boat park cos they're digging it up and resurfacing, so red handed it's in the drive, the Mrs now figuring on what she wants next as compensation after the tongue lashing (Why do you need ANOTHER boat!.)
A Contender FFS, well I guess at least I'll be able to walk under the boom, if that is I mange to launch it without getting a hernia. And I'm going to get such a thrashing when its windy, probably wether they like it or not, I'll have to get a smaller rag at the end of the day, what's worse, not going out, or being chucked out for not being class legal? The class rules only give maximum sizes. It looks to me as if you can make your sail as small as you want.
Personally I would just put in big flattening reef at the clew of an oldish sail to start with |

Good luck with the Contender. I would say if you haven't got an aluminium trolley get one as every kilo saved up the beach is worth it. Oh and try and sail somewhere with a shallow concrete ramp.

I would like to say I hope it goes well for you. But in truth I hope you have a big hernia dragging it up the slipway . I hope you understand the fact I dislike hypocrisy even more than I dislike you .

I think I am a kind and considerate person , I just dislike grf and have no time to be nice to him anymore . I been on this forum for over a decade as has grf. We have had loads of disagreements and he knows I’ve always thought his behaviour to people that disagree with him to be aggressive, personal and vile . He is the perfect troll The bottom line is ,I dislike grf , he knows it but DOESNT CARE and I think we are both happy with the situation.
