Funny, I found the Streaker interesting, even watched the Tom Gillard talk.

Not overwhelmed, but due credit for trying to produce something covid safe rather than just giving up.

I probably should have watched the introduction, was getting very frustrated until I realised if you scroll down each page they have a write up and tabs with what the class is ‘showing’

I shall go look at the Streaker stand tomorrow, thanks, as I too was underwhelmed. And the sun was out as you say.

Well that was disappointing, I appreciate it’s the first year but... joined a talk and it wasn’t as billed all ‘how did you cope with lockdown’ Sunny day so got on with other stuff as it looked like I could watch other talks later. Come in now and there doesn’t seem like I can replay, at the moment, sure they will be released in the future. Found the interface clunky and just searching easier. Not that many classes had stands and most just linked to their website. The notable exception was the Streaker stand which had the thing I go to the show for, video tour of a latest boat and then a more upgraded club racer boat. Well done the Streakers. So 5/10 for the effort given the circumstances.

classes are certainly invited. Phantoms were looking for a video tour of a recent boat for the concours de elegance. Luckily one of the guys with a newish boat his good lady is a pro photographer and has a better video camera than me the handshake king!

Always part of the dinghy show is the release of the PN list and our annual stream of complaints about the system. Don’t expect that will happen.
Re the dinghy show I presume just lots more content, talks etc. Say what you like about the RYA but they have done some good stuff over the past year, the rules webinars where good. So yes I’ll be virtual going and hopefully on the water the weekend after. Edited by tink - 06 Feb 21 at 8:03am |

Just go to Rya web and register, it’s not difficult. Also there this a list of the class associations and companies have signed up so far , plus an explanation of how it’s works and what hosting platform is being used.
Have seen advertisements for the show from the Rya on Y & Y and all over Facebook . All the normal things are there, class stands, companies selling stuff and people giving talks .
