Got the 59er out for the first time in any wind, sadly the crew person at the pointy end discovered the spinnaker ratchets don't work at all.  His arms are now 6 inches longer.  Is it best to go for auto ratchets as originally fitted (but pehaps better quality) or go with switchable?  I have always preferred switchable on the main.  Any recommendations on the best ones to use?

I looked at the Ronstan's but they don't got to 10mm sheets.  Obscene I grant you, I remember the days when crews had to use 4mm sheets and a decent pair of gloves but have you tried to get a crew theser days???  Harken looks really nice, but are auto ratchets the one to use?

Your using 10mm sheets? Are you sure it wouldn't be faster to use 6mm at the very most. I know didley squat about your class, but can't understand justifying using 10mm spinnaker sheets.

Go for Harken auto-rachets and 6mm sheets, work really well (5K and 49er!)

It felt pretty quick too - we need a bigger lake!
