why don't you just pay for parking - given it's public land you are leasing?

I think the issue is they are wanting to turn the dinghy park into a car park

Thin end of the wedge, don't let them walk over you, contact RYA for advice and ask them to recommend a company that specialises in sports related litigation.

Yes as 423 says.

Even though your lease is running out you might have a right to rollover under current terms until a new agreement is reached. Also the terms of your current lease may well set precedents for fair terms for a new lease.

While the kids are pushing to try and slow down climate change, make major changes to transport to assist this. The rest of us and our government at all levels are totally ignoring it.

The option of improving public transport, encouraging cycling etc is crushed in the rush to build more car parks.

Nice angle Ian, build a car park for half a million but won't put in a bus shelter.

A shameless plug, but kudos to the committee at one of my clubs for quickly enacting an idea suggested by an older Laser sailor at the AGM to let students studying locally sail for free as long as they are still members of their ‘home’ club. They decided it didn’t really have a downside as if it didn’t work nothing was lost, but it might just help keep a few involved in sailing at clubs .

Is it an idea other clubs would take up to keep young adults involved?

Back in the day, our university sc had some kind of student membership of South Shields SC. They couldn't have been more welcoming to us coming out for club racing when the boats weren't somewhere else team racing- lovely people at that club.
