Looks like they had a great and windy (today) weekend ... nice looking boats and very different demographic to the Solo fleet that they were racing alongside!

Around 40% of the fleet were female, and half were under 40.

Well there weren’t many Europe sailors in the Male Over 18 changing room ... unlike the entire Solo fleet!

That’s because most of the solo sailors were in the over 55 male changing room

In the interests of completely blatant class promotion... Great weekend at WPNSA. :) |

It’s absolutely fine - close to Laser-like levels of clearance in the tack when you ease the mainsheet and the mast pops upright, lifting the boom. I’m 5’8” and 80-83kgs, and have no problem getting under

Great to see the Europe thrive in the UK; I have always liked them.
Proper international class with plenty of scope for trips overseas for racing. What is the current standard equipment wise ... carbon mast & boom? Who builds hulls these days? |

I think it's really just Winner in Spain who build hulls now. Carbon mast (mainly Ceilidh) is standard but still ally booms - according to our talk from a class sailmaker on the training day 'slightly' bendy booms are back in fashion...
