Hi,
We're having a week's break at Hayling island in september. Planning on taking the windsurfing kit but would also like a dinghy for a couple of days.
Is anybody aware of any hire boats available in the area, the only ones I can find are only available to club members.
Stopping for a couple of days at the Goodwood festival so towing down is not really suitable.

No nothing about Hauling island, but just noticed your boat collection, nice mix.

Not on Hayling Island, but Cobnor Activity Centre is Chichester Harbour and the Portsmouth Watersports Centre on Langstone harbour are the most obvious places to try. Not sure if they offer day sailing or if it's all courses.

Mistral based at Sparkes Marina do paddle-board hire. Would be a nice day exploring the creeks if there's no enough wind for windsurfing.

Cheers Mozzy,
Looks like its just lessons not hiring but I've dropped a line may lead somewhere.
Cobnor looks a lovely bit of river i can see me wasting a few hours along there.

Mind the mud!

The river channels get narrow near low water, and the mud is evil...

Get the tides wrong and you'll be spending lots of hours waiting to be able to reach solid ground.
