There are slipways all over the Lake, but the best wind is at the Northern end, and so are the best views and restaurants, from Malcesine round past Riva to the village opposite Malcesine who's name escapes me and i wouldn't stay there anyway.

Torbole however is where you really need to be, or Riva if you're going to cowboy it on your own. Not that I have anything other than windsurfing or kitesurfing experience down there but last year I noticed dinghys at both those venues

Hi,

Does anyone know if you can just turn up anywhere on Garda and launch?

Were going to europe in the campervan in june and ive convinced the other half i can take the moth!

Hoping to head to Garda for a few days and do some sailing whilst there. But not sure on best place to just rock up and sail, and possibly leave the boat for a few days!

Cheers
