I used it both ways first w/e in Dec.

As I understand it, there are no regs covering how the reg no is displayed on a trailer, just that it must be there and match the towing vehicle. Unlike some of our EU cousins, our trailers are not registered in their own right. (This from an ex met traffic officer) However, given that roads policing seems to be almost entirely via cameras these days, how are any of these regs to be enforced?
